Intertwined in the glass are bronze figures behind barb wire and smoke images enameled and engraved on the glass to address the reality of Kristallnacht and the horrors that followed The candle, which Jews traditionally light on the anniversary of a loved one’s death is lit to remember and memorialize the victims.
